Sipping on a cup of coffee and gazing at early morning views of the clouded mountains of Gangtok from the window of the wooden cottage was definitely our dream came true. A placid wooden house, located in the midst of bustling city Gangtok, but surrounded by lush green trees, bamboo groves and a wide variety of plants with a gorgeous mountain view.
This was our fifth day of the trip! I have already blogged about first to fourth day of our trip. But yes, if you’re someone who recently started following me, here are the link of my other Sikkim blog posts for you to know more about them and my experience – East Sikkim, North Sikkim

This was our first time ever we stayed in a wooden house and the house was super stylish and ultra comfortable. We reached here around 3 pm from Lachen and taken to our suite which was on the first floor. As we entered the suite, we fell in love with the interior and nice, cozy ambience of it. Everything was wooden there, from the ceiling to wall to interior to furniture and we especially loved the linen and sheer curtains which was adding a grace to the ambience, it was so dreamy!!! Also, a kids room was attached which we didn’t require but it was very very cute. 😉 We relaxed for few hours, had chicken momos (it was delicious, you should must try) and went to visit Gangtok market. Also, we went to Casino, though we lost there but had no regrets because we enjoyed a lot !! We returned back to house, headed straight to dining room and had mouth-watering home made food.
We woke to the melodious chirping of birds next morning, sipped on a cup of coffee, gazing at mesmerizing mountain view and lush green bamboo groves from the window, and read books with zephyr while sitting in the sun lounge. This was our last day in Sikkim and we had to reach Baghdogra airport around 2pm, we got ready and packed our bag. The morning was very beautiful and had breakfast in the outdoor verandah with charming view, got some stunning photos clicked and headed to the airport.
We can’t thank Mr. Shailesh (Owner of the house) and staffs enough for treating us so well. The stay here was wonderful and staffs was very friendly. The people and the culture was also so heartwarming, couldn’t have asked for better time! Thank you everyone there for such warm hospitality! I hope you had great time reading the post and looking at the pictures, just like I had at the Orchid glade.
